A bit about Brussels
As you would imagine from the capital of Europe there’s plenty to see and do in Brussels. It’s a city of contrasts where you’ll find the home of European politics, but also bizarrely brilliant sights like the comic strip walk where brightly coloured figures adorn the city’s walls and gables. Even down to the dazzling cityscape it’s a destination of contrasts from the regal architecture of Grand Place to the modern glass-fronted buildings of the business districts. An art-lover's paradise the city embraces the scene with open arms. Students from across the world come to Brussels to be a part of the art scene viewing and displaying their own works in trendy pop-up galleries. But the cuisine culture in Brussels is one of the main reasons to make the trip. Double fried potatoes litter menus across the city, and, of course, there’s the famous beers which draw travellers from all over. Although, the next time you’re in the city how about celebrating with a half-en-half, a delightfully bold mix of white wine and champagne. Lose yourself in this prim and proper, yet perfectly silly city.
