It’s also always a good idea to print out hard copies of your booking and flight information to take with you. This way, you have backups in case you can’t get internet access or anything happens to your electronic devices.

For example, UK travellers will need a visa to travel to the Maldives but not Mauritius, and the Dominican Republic will provide a tourist card on arrival.
