Once again we were taking the Gold Leaf service for the next couple of days to Vancouver. Our journey takes us back to Kamloops, the scenery was once again breathtaking and the glorious sunshine stayed with us the whole journey.

Pulling up at Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise is a sight you will never forget, as you enter through the grand lobby with winding staircases, elegant chandeliers, mountain scenery pictures and you feel like you have just arrived at a historic Swiss Chateau.

Having decided the next place on our bucket list to check off was going to be Alaska we pulled together an itinerary to maximise the experience over almost 3 weeks. Rocky Mountaineer was an appealing way to cover the vast area of the Canadian Rockies. The thought of travelling in style on a preplanned tour left us in no doubt it was the perfect add on to an Alaska cruise.

We love to fly Business Class and in particular we enjoy the Virgin Upper Class Service, so trying out their partner airline Delta was the perfect option to get us to Seattle. Our holiday plan was to include a Rocky Mountaineer train journey and an Alaska cruise - Business Class was included to create the full memorable experience.

So, off to Antigua today and looking forward to the new Virgin Atlantic Upper Class entertainment system. Upper Class, as always, makes for a very relaxing journey. A decent nights sleep at the Hilton and a stroll down the corridor at 6:30am to the terminal. Straight to the counter and 5 minutes later we are through the Premium Security passage to the Virgin Clubhouse.
