So, huge news holiday fans! The Excellence Collection team recently announced that their latest five-star adults-only haven, Excellence Coral Playa Mujeres Resort, is due to open in 2025.

Those who are familiar with the Excellence offering will be happy to learn that the restaurant count includes some old favourite outlets. However, the resort team have also confirmed that we can expect some new concepts too.

Among the new bar and restaurant concepts at Excellence Coral Playa Mujeres is a speciality Greek restaurant, as well as a Levantine outlet. Levantine cuisine celebrates Arabic flavour combinations. Prepare your palate for tastes from countries such as Syria, Lebanon and Jordan.
In addition, you’ll also have fun exploring a brand-new signature Mexican restaurant. This more traditional space will shine a light on the nation’s mouth-watering gastronomy.
Meanwhile, there are also new additions to the bar scene. Yes, you still have a mix of relaxed pool bars and elegant cocktail areas to choose from. But there’s also a Chocolate Bar (be still our beating hearts). In this dream factory you’re offered a more immersive experience and learn more about the history & influence of Cacao on the area.
