Paint the World Blue
Blue Bay Travel's corporate social responsibility activities reflect our ongoing commitment to innovation and sound business practices that excite and inspire our customers and employees alike. From significantly reducing the use of paper in our growing business to actively encouraging people to speak out about mental health, our 'Painting the World Blue' scheme has encouraged long-lasting change.
As we chase our big development plans, we're going to make sure we grow in a way that's good for people, society and the environment. We have implemented a structure ensuring that our social responsibilities are treated with the level of importance that they merit.
We are aware of the importance in helping local charities with fundraising activities and with boosting their awareness in the local areas. For charities of a small size it is an incredibly difficult task to maintain a steady rate of income, but we want to help.

As our business has grown unfortunately so has the amount of paper we use. We appreciate the appalling effect that this has on the environment and have taken drastic measures to reduce paper usage in recent years. We have improved our documentation processes meaning that booking documents are now paperless and will continue to look for ways to reduce our paper use and inspire our employees to get on board with our recycling efforts.
Bigger office space means greater energy output. We decided to monitor this closely with the goal of significantly reducing the amount of energy we use on a day-to-day basis. By actively encouraging our employees to save energy wherever possible. Whether it be turning off our PCs or switching the lights off when we leave a room, our employees have embraced becoming more environmentally conscious and are always looking for innovative ways to reduce energy consumption.
Cycle to Work Scheme
Here at Blue Bay Travel we are constantly looking for ways to reduce our effect on the environment. By implementing a 'Cycle to Work' scheme not only are we encouraging our employees to reduce their carbon footprint, but we are also encouraging a healthier alternative to getting behind the wheel.
Health & Wellness
Our employee's health is paramount to us. By addressing the mental health stigma and actively encouraging a healthy lifestyle we have placed our employees' wellbeing bang in the centre of our priorities. A healthy employee is raring to make a difference in the world and we appreciate the importance of maintaining a happy and productive workforce.
We love to help local charities at any possible opportunity. Whether this be by cleaning out the kennels at a local dog shelter or by sprucing up the garden up at a nearby hospice, we are always keen to get involved. Supporting the community has always been at the heart of our business and we are forever looking at ways we can increase our contribution. You can read more about our charitable antics here.
