During the month of December, I was privileged to represent our company at the 9th<\/sup> annual Sandals Travel Agent Recognition (STAR) awards<\/strong> which this year took place at the fantastic Sandals Grande Antigua Resort & Spa, Blue Bay Travel Ltd having been recognized for our outstanding achievement by Sandals Resorts.<\/p>\n

Sandals Grande Antigua Resort & Spa <\/span><\/h3>\n

Located on Antigua\u2019s famous Dickenson Bay beach and voted the<\/p>\n

\u201dWorld\u2019s Most Romantic Resort\u201d every year for the past twelve years, Sandals Grande Antigua Resort & Spa is spread over a 27 acres site and is only 15 minutes away from Antigua\u2019s V.C Bird International Airport.<\/p>\n

There are a total of 373 rooms & suites, split in to 18 different categories. These accommodations are set in the quaint Caribbean Grove with it\u2019s lush, tropical gardens highlighted by brilliant bougainvillea combined with luxurious suites incorporating Mediterranean inspired elements, both nestled against a powdery white-sand beach. Newly designed gardens and landscaping of the Mediterranean Village to the newly refurbished Red Lane Spa add to the feeling of luxury and romance<\/p>\n

The accommodations range from one storey buildings with patios to Honeymoon Garden Rondovals with Private Plunge Pools, to exotic Mediterranean Honeymoon Penthouse One Bedroom Oceanview Suites and Luxury Ocean One Bedroom Suites, each with their own Private Pool.<\/p>\n

A majority of the accommodations come with Sandals\u2019 Suite Concierge Service or their Exclusive Butler Service, where you wish is their command ! All of the Butlers have been trained to the highest standards by the elite Guild of Professional English Butlers who will pamper you throughout your stay.<\/p>\n

There is a fantastic choice of dining options available to all guests. Dress Code will vary, dependant upon which dining option you choose.<\/p>\n

Breakfast is served in both the Bayside Restaurant, overlooking the ocean and in Mario\u2019s Restaurant. The choice is huge.<\/p>\n

Lunch is served in the Bayside Restaurant, the Barefoot by the Sea Restaurant (yes, this restaurant is beachfront and has a sand-based floor) and the Cricketer\u2019s, which is themed on the great British pub !. There is also the Bella Napolia Pizzaria.<\/p>\n

In the evening, the Bayside Restaurant is transformed into a restaurant which serves International Gourmet cuisine while Mario\u2019s a la carte menu offers the very best in Italian cuisine, in luxurious surroundings. Add to these options Eleanor\u2019s Restaurant where authentic Caribbean cuisine is the order of the day, Barefoot by the Sea (seafood of cause !), Kimono\u2019s (Asian Stir-fry), the Cricketer\u2019s (traditional pub menu), the Sushi Bar and OK Corral (South Western cuisine), you will never go hungry !<\/p>\n

The staff throughout the resort were extremely helpful, very friendly and don\u2019t be surprised if one of the maids walks past you, singing to her heart\u2019s content. I didn\u2019t join in for fear of being upstaged<\/p>\n
