From the very start of the day, Graham was a fantastic host, pampering to our every need as well as subjecting us to the many jokes he has in his repertoire (I am sure there was at least one of them I had only heard twice before!)<\/span><\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_5059\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-5059\" style=\"width: 300px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><a href=\"https:\/\/blogimg.bluebaytravel.co.uk\/uploads\/2012\/09\/P1020110.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-5059 \" title=\"Our close personal friend*, actual David Beckham\" src=\"https:\/\/blogimg.bluebaytravel.co.uk\/uploads\/2012\/09\/P1020110-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"Our close personal friend*, actual David Beckham\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"https:\/\/bluebaytravel.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/09\/P1020110-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/bluebaytravel.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/09\/P1020110.jpg 1024w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-5059\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Our close personal friend*, actual David Beckham<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Tahoma;\">Our <strong>Executive Suite<\/strong> which overlooked the basketball court afforded us the perfect vantage point and Steph was so excited to see the one and only <strong>David Beckham<\/strong> and his children were seated in another Executive Suite which was only a matter of a few yards away and within touching distance from ours. In spite of their efforts, Steph &amp; the other female admirers were unable to gatecrash his Suite but we all managed to get some fantastic photographs of our new, close personal friend! <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Tahoma;\">The two basketball matches we witnessed were very exciting and of the highest quality. The match which determined who won the bronze medal was contested by <strong>Argentina<\/strong> and <strong>Russia<\/strong>, with the Russians by the slightest of margins. And so to the &#8220;Gold Medal&#8221; match between the famous <strong>USA Dream Team<\/strong>, packed with multi-millionnaire, professional basketball players and <strong>Spain<\/strong>, the only team able to come close to defeating the invincibles from the USA.<\/span><\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_5069\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-5069\" style=\"width: 225px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><a href=\"https:\/\/blogimg.bluebaytravel.co.uk\/uploads\/2012\/09\/DSCF1960.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-5069  \" title=\"Surprised I didn't wake up with a marker moustache\" src=\"https:\/\/blogimg.bluebaytravel.co.uk\/uploads\/2012\/09\/DSCF1960-225x300.jpg\" alt=\"Surprised I didn't wake up with a marker moustache\" width=\"225\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/bluebaytravel.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/09\/DSCF1960-225x300.jpg 225w, https:\/\/bluebaytravel.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/09\/DSCF1960.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 225px) 100vw, 225px\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-5069\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Surprised I didn&#8217;t wake up with a marker moustache<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Tahoma;\">The atmosphere in the arena was electric. Supporters from both countries had paid extortionate prices for tickets in order to be able to see their idols and the atmosphere generated during the playing of both national anthems was charged with emotion.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Tahoma;\">As was expected by many, the <strong>Gold Medal went to the Dream Team from the USA<\/strong> but everyone was impressed by the fight put up by a very skilfull Spanish team. Once again, emotions were running high during the medal ceremony. <strong>We<\/strong> <strong>both felt very proud<\/strong> of the way in which the Olympic Games were being presented by Great Britain and <strong>cannot thank Graham and our friends at Harlequin enough<\/strong> for inviting us to experience this fantastic event.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"font-family: Tahoma;\">Want more?
