If you&#8217;ve booked a stay in one of the 100 rooms at this adults-only Mauritius resort then prepare for chic and contemporary styling.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Plus, you could also get to know the <strong>selection of 5 bars and restaurants<\/strong>, which includes a super trendy rooftop bar gazing out over the shimmering Indian Ocean.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>When you manage to get out of your room and those bars and restaurants, you could pass the time by taking a leisurely stroll along the beach. Or learn something new with cooking and cocktail-making classes. We flew business class on the way out and economy coming home and I&#8217;d recommend that anybody takes the opportunity to upgrade if they can.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>In business class, we were welcomed onto the flight with a glass of champagne and a food menu to select our in-flight meals. To that end, I have to say the food on the flight was lovely. Plus, <strong>the staff are so attentive<\/strong>, someone was constantly coming round to see if we would like any more drinks.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Once they&#8217;ve completed the food rounds, they then come around and add mattress toppers to all the seats so you have a more comfortable area to sleep in. All the seats had lots of legroom and even if you couldn&#8217;t recline your seat, there were pouffes available so that you could still raise your legs and relax. Pillows and blankets are there to help you get comfortable, plus, if you can&#8217;t drift off, there&#8217;s a great entertainment selection available to help pass the time.<\/p>\n<p>Overall, we had an incredible experience in the business class cabin and, like I said, <strong>I&#8217;d recommend upgrading to anyone<\/strong>. It&#8217;s an adults-only hotel so it&#8217;s a lot quieter than more family-orientated spots on the island. So it&#8217;s perfect for couples who want a super-chilled beachfront holiday in a tropical paradise. If you like kicking back with a good book, then this is the place for you.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>However, if you want more entertainment during the day, there is a <strong>free shuttle which goes to the sister resort<\/strong> <span style=\"color: #03a9f4;\"><a style=\"color: #03a9f4;\" href=\"https:\/\/bluebaytravel.co.uk\/holidays\/mauritius\/haute-rive\/radisson-blu-azuri-resort-spa?blg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Radisson Blu Azuri Resort &amp; Spa<\/a><\/span> three times daily. At lunch, you could eat at the a la carte restaurant under a gazebo area.<\/p>\n<p><strong>We couldn&#8217;t fault the food during our stay<\/strong>. At lunchtime, there was a good selection of international favourites like pasta, pizzas, burgers and paninis. Meanwhile, the dinner menu featured lots of fresh fish and more. Honestly, it was all delicious.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>I would say that the menus in each a la carte restaurant are reasonably limited. So, if you&#8217;re staying for 10 nights or longer, you may start to see the repetition. It is right on the beach and that area is gorgeous.<\/p>\n<p>There is a coral reef just off the beach, so it&#8217;s a great place for swimming, snorkelling and diving around the colourful corals. Because of this coral, and its delicate ecosystem, <strong>Radisson Blu Poste Lafayette doesn&#8217;t offer water sports<\/strong>. If splashing about in the surf is a non-negotiable on your trip, then take the complimentary shuttle to the sister resort where a whole range is available.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>But, I will say, the water can get a little choppy at times, there was a red flag on one of the days we were there so we couldn&#8217;t swim in the ocean that day &#8211; the manager later explained that we had just caught the end of a monsoon so the weather was a little unpredictable.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The pool area is elevated on the beachfront too, so you get those beautiful views over the ocean. We saw singers and dancers in the communal area where you can sit at a table with a drink and watch the performance. On other nights when there were no performances there would be a DJ playing music to create a nice atmosphere<\/p>\n\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Hire_A_Car_See_the_Island\"><\/span><span style=\"color: #2ba39a;\">Hire A Car &amp; See the Island<\/span><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>We didn&#8217;t have the time to do it during our trip, but I would recommend hiring a car from the resort and heading out around the island. Although the spa area in the resort is a little small, it still offers things like facials, massages and body wraps to help you unwind.<\/p>\n<p>Despite the size, it was really good! I think we paid roughly<strong> \u00a340pp for a 45-minute treatment<\/strong> which is a decent price and the experience was great. The spa team are on hand with everything you could want to make your spa day as relaxing as possible, they are always coming around with water and other things which is a super luxurious touch.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Would_You_Go_Back_to_Radisson_Blu_Poste_Lafayette\"><\/span><span style=\"color: #fd6b2b;\">Would You Go Back to Radisson Blu Poste Lafayette?<\/span><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Yes. I definitely would go back to this resort. It&#8217;s super clean, really chilled and<span style=\"color: #03a9f4;\"> <a style=\"color: #03a9f4;\" href=\"https:\/\/bluebaytravel.co.uk\/blog\/2024\/06\/pictures-of-mauritius\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Mauritius is gorgeous<\/a><\/span>, the beach here is immaculate. Plus, the staff are incredibly attentive and helpful.
